Let me start this topic with 4 questions:-
QUESTION #1 -> "Who all are confident to enter the Kingdom of Heaven ?"
(Standing in front of a multitude I ask so...
all look around at each other... few hands go up half way...
as more hands rise, previous hands straighten with confidence...
in few seconds, All hands are up...heads still looking around)

QUESTION #2 -> "Ok then, What are Gods expectations which you have met that assures you entry into the Kingdom of God ?"
(Before i ended the question, 1/2 hands go down quickly ...
slowly others hands go down... heads still rolling and looking around...)

QUESTION #3 -> "What if a person dying asks you what is needed to assure him into heaven, can you answer before he dies ?"
(All hands go down... heads are no more rolling and looking around but bowed down in shame...)

QUESTION #4 -> "Are we really prepared and sure to enter the Kingdom of God ?....."
(Many people leave the hall, prentending to goto the restroom... the remaining absolute silence...)

The most important aim for us is to be prepared to enter the Kingdom of God in heaven.
We have never thought that, "if at anytime Jesus may come, will we be fit to enter the Kingdom of God?"
Sure or not, we say we are prepared, but do we know the requirements to enter the kingdom, no... we are lieing to our own selves...
Let us see 4 scenarios on being prepared to enter heaven

The Intruder
Matt 22 2 "The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, 3 and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. 4 Again, he sent out other servants, saying, "Tell those who are invited, "See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding."" 5 But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business. 6 And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them. 7 But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. 8 Then he said to his servants, "The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. 9 Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding." 10 So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. And the wedding hall was filled with guests. 11 "But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. 12 So he said to him, "Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?" And he was speechless. 13 Then the king said to the servants, "Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." 14 "For many are called, but few are chosen."
Confusion:- It says the king invited good and bad. So why did only one of the guys get punished severly ???
Explanation:- God is the king, Jesus is the son. God invited the Jews, they reject, he punishes them and then opens the door to all gentiles, good and bad. However its customary that the king washes and dresses all the visitors. Good or bad, we are cleansed by baptism and dressed with the cleansing words of God. But if somone does not receive the free cleansing by Gods water and words and later comes in with his own clean clothes, then he is not prepared. We too, good or bad, must be cleansed by his water baptism and clothed with his words and salvation. Garments refers to preparedness. The intruder was not prepared.

The Virgins
Matt 25 1 "Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. 6 "And at midnight a cry was heard: "Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!" 7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said to the wise, "Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out." 9 But the wise answered, saying, "No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves." 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. 11 "Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, "Lord, Lord, open to us!" 12 But he answered and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you." 13 "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
Confusion:- Virgins are good. Just because they were late, God doesnt know them ???
Explanation:- Jesus is the groom, we are his bride. Only few spiritual virgins will be selected to go with him. Some are prepared with oil. Fire lamp burs with oil or spirit. Oil denotes annointing, spirit denotes Holy Spirit, sleep denotes slumberness. If we are like the wise virgins and prepared with annointing and holy spirit and if we do not slumber and are watchfull, we will meet the groom when he arrives. Else he will say he never knew us. So we must also be watchfull and pray.

The Gifted
Matt 7 21 "Not everyone who says to Me, "Lord, Lord," shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, "Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?" 23 And then I will declare to them, "I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!"
Confusion:- Those who prophesied, cast demons and did miracles in Jesus name, is not known to him? How is that possible ???
Explanation:- Yes these men did do signs and wonders in name of Jesus. God did use them to save and deliver others. However if they do not do his will and practice evil, there is no guarantee for their own salvation. This does make sense, since, if I were to do all good things to others and save them, but then I do all evil and dont do the good as God expects, I will get punished. Just because God chose us with specail talents, doesnt mean we can sin. We must be prepared.

The Chosen
Exo 4 24 And it came to pass on the way, at the encampment, that the LORD met him and sought to kill him. 25 Then Zipporah took a sharp stone and cut off the foreskin of her son and cast it at Moses" feet, and said, "Surely you are a husband of blood to me!" 26 So He let him go. Then she said, "You are a husband of blood!" because of the circumcision.
Confusion:- After 40 yrs, God choses Moses and insists him to do a great risky task and then plans to kill him? Why would he do that ??? Why is Zipporah doing the circumcision, its a mans job???
Explanation:- Yes God chose Moses for one of the most unique, wonderfull, risky task. That doesnt mean he need not be prepared for it. Gods law and expectation was to circumscise all men, which he didnt follow for his sons. Thats sin and disobedience. Hence he was going to be punished. It would have been Zipporah who had initially objected to the circumcision else why would she have to do it at that time. So if we object then we have to do the difficult job to rectify the mistake we did. God did give him a clue to make sure that the unclean sandals must be taken off his feet. If a disconnected sandal below our feet need to br removed then surely an detachement/circumcision of uncleanliness must be done to have us prepared.

We can understand the unprepared intruder getting punished. But why the virgins, okay they slumbered and were late and were not prepared with annointing and spirit. But even if the prophets who prophesied, delivered and did signs and wonders do not obey or sin/backslide and what are our chances. We can not do miracles or prophecy or do signs and wonders and even if they fall then how prepared are we. We must be more prepared than them not only to avoid disobedience but to also do obey his will. Even Moses the chosen one was subject to punishment. Even Moses was punished by not entering the promised land. (Jude 9 Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!") How better are we than Moses. So we must be prepared more than the chosen (Moses) and gifted men of God. Let us be prepared.
The conditions to enter the Kingdom of God are :- Expectations of God to Enter the Kingdom of God.
