HOW TO OVERCOME LIONS IN OUR LIVES
1 Pet 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
Num 23:24A people rises like a lioness, And lifts itself up like a lion; It shall not lie down until it devours the prey, And drinks the blood of the slain.
Apart for Rev 5:5 where Jesus is refered to the Lion Of Judah, the Lion referes to the enemy. In our daily lives we face many dangers of lions. Let us see how people faced lions in the scriptures

Men Killed By Lions due to :-
No Fear of God
2 Kings 17:25 At the beginning of their dwelling there, they did not fear the LORD; therefore the LORD sent lions among them, which killed some of them.

Weakness
1 Kings 13:21 Because you have disobeyed the LORD (and broken the fast and eaten against Gods will)... 26 the man of God who was disobedient to the word of the LORD. Therefore the LORD has delivered him to the lion, which has torn him and killed him

Disobedience
1 Kings 20:36 Because you have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, surely, as soon as you depart from me, a lion shall kill you.” And as soon as he left him, a lion found him and killed him.

Strength of the Spirit
Judg 14:5 A young lion came roaring against Samson. 6 And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he tore the lion apart as one would have torn apart a young goat, with nothing in his hand.

Blessings of God
1 Sam 17:34 David: I used to keep my father’s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, 35 I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it. 36 Your servant has killed both lion and bear; 37 The LORD, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.

Faith & Righteousness
Dan 6:22 Daniel: My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.
Heb 11:33 Samson & David: who through faith...stopped the mouths of lions.

Conclusion:- By lack of fear of God, weakness or disobedience, we can be killed by the enemy, but by Faith & Righteousness, the Spirit of God and His Blessings, we can subdue lions in our life.
