Dear Friends,

Hallelujah!  All glory, praise and honor to God!

I am glad to inform you that our Interfaith Dialogue “Jesus in the Qur’an” on June 25 went well.  It was a bold step for us as a baby Church to take initiative for this kind of program.  But it was from the Lord and He directed the whole plan.  Over and over again He confirmed us that He would be with us.

We want to express our deep appreciation to each one of you for your prayer support and encouragement.  Many of you spared your time and attended the meeting which encouraged us very much.  It was a great encouragement for us.  We are thankful to Cambridgeport Baptist Church for their support.  I am personally grateful to all of our team members who helped me in many ways with a good team work spirit.

The main program of Boston Bangla Church is outreach and evangelism and this interfaith dialogue is part of that program.  Through this interfaith dialogue our goal is to share and express the common understanding between Islam and Christianity and the same time to challenge our Muslim brothers and sisters to find Jesus in their own book.

There was a good friendly atmosphere.  Eighteen people attended the meeting.

Out of that five were Muslims.  Dr. Syed Abu Hasnath, a senior professor of BU and ano Dr. Abdul A. Momen, a senior professor of Framingham State College were among them.  Due to some unavoidable reasons many of our Christian and Muslim friends could not come.  But they encouraged us and expressed their good support over the phone.

There were four panel members.  Two panel members were from Christian side and other two were from Muslim side.  We appreciate them for the sharing of their ideas and thoughts about Jesus which they discovered from the Qur’an.  There was a nice question and answering session.  The Spirit of the Lord was in control and nobody was impatient even in the hot climate.  We are grateful to Pastor Dan Szatkowski and Mrs. Barbara Beevers for their brief and challenging message.  We have decided to organize this kind of dialogue meeting at least three times a year. Once again, we thank you for all you do in helping us in building the Kingdom of God in this area.  It has been a Blessing!

In His service,

Paul S. Biswas
