Who is Jesus?

Judaism
The Jews belief that a messiah will come to give the Jews salvation from all their problems. He will be a Jew. Belief in the eventual coming of the moshiach is a basic and fundamental part of traditional Judaism. It is part of Rambam's 13 Principles of Faith, (the minimum requirements of Jewish belief). In the Shemoneh Esrei prayer, recited three times daily, we pray for all of the elements of the coming of the moshiach: ingathering of the exiles; restoration of the religious courts of justice; an end of wickedness, sin and heresy; reward to the righteous; rebuilding of Jerusalem; descendent of King David; and restoration of Temple service. They believe that the messiah is yet to come. What they do not know is that the Messiah has come, He rose and is comming again.

Islam
In the Quran Jesus is called Isa. Islam confirms that Jesus is the most powerfull of all prophets in the Quran. This is a fact and any muslim will agree this. As per their beleif, Jesus or Isa is the messiah and there is no other messiah. This strongly contradicts with Judaism. Muslims belief that Jesus was born of virgin birth and not of human ways, just like the Christian belief. (A sect of Islam called the Ahmedis even belief that He was crusified on the cross but escaped death.) They believe that He rose to heaven and will return and land in Damascus. They believe that only Jesus has a main role granted by Allah on judgement day and not any other prophet to be sent to save the world and destroy the antichrist. (The anti christ or Dazzal will be sent by Satan, a one eyed singer who will impress the whole world by his voice, and later take power and destroy humans unless they accept him and reject God, during end times.) They beleive in the judgement day like the christians and that there will be few signs for the end times. All these signs have taken place so they believe judgement day is near. He has around 25 titles in the Quran, one of them is the "Kalimath-allah" = "Word of God".

Christianity
Jesus is the Son of God and also the "Word of God". He is part of the triune God or Trinity, (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) - (Gen 1:1-3/ John 8:12/ 1 John 5:7). God created the world by his Words. This Word became flesh and came in human form (Heb 11:3 / John 1:1-3,14). So God came to earth in human form as Jesus (Phil 2:5-8/ Heb 2:17). He was born of virgin birth thru Mary and the Holy Spirit and not thru a man (Mat 1:18-20). He came for three reasons:-
1) As He is the Word of God, he came to give the words/commandments of God.
2) He came to show how one must live and demonstrated the expectation of God.
3) To save us from sin. He was sinless and thus shed his blood as a true sacrifice for the sins of mankind
(1 John 2:2; 1 John 3:5; 1 John 4:10; 1 Pet 2:23; Heb 1:3; 2:17; Eph 1:7; Col 1:13-14).
Detail:-Mankind is born thru sin and the sin is passed thru generations. So, man has been sacrificing animals/humans since the beginning to pay the price for their wrongs. God loved the world that he came with an agreement with mankind. He agreed to pay the ultimate sacrifice for the human race, if we accept & confess our sins and decide to change. Jesus was sacrificed for our sins and thru His wounds we are healed. He rose from the grave and will return as a judge on judgement day to save mankind from sin, devil and the anti christ.

Sikhism
There are small references to "the Word" here. One of their scriptures use a Punjabi term, Shabad, to illuminate one of the Bible's key concepts of Christ: Jesus as "the Word," as expressed in John 1:1-14.
Affirming that "Shabad / Word means God, or Lord," refers to several quotes from sacred Sikh texts, stating: "We learn that from the beginning God, who is Word / Shabad, made everything -- and then made a body for Himself and lived with us.
"What does it mean by Shabad in flesh? Let us first see in Gurbani regarding this Shabad. Adi Granth tells us in page 165 regarding this Shabad: 'hari aape Shabad Surti dhuni aape' (The Lord Himself is Shabad -- He Himself is the awareness) . . . . Page 1237 [states]: 'Aape aap niranjna, jini aapu upaiaa. Aape khel rachaeon sabh jagat sabaia' (The immaculate Lord Himself, by Himself, created Himself. He Himself created the whole drama of all the world's play).
"As we see from Gurbani (Sikhs' holy book) that God Himself was Word / Shabad and God Himself made everything and then created Himself -- or, as some understand that, He showed Himself in the form of the world."

Vedas
(The below info on Prajabathi is still under research by the SAFNE team, we are yet to approve it, but we do approve of Sadhu Chellapa).
Even the Rig Veda talks about sin. It says for a wrong you do, you or either somone else must pay the price. This is called Karma. The Vedas mentions about a God called Prajabathi and Perusha. It is mentioned in the 10th Mandala . (Click here to read the Rig Veda). To view some scriptures of the Hindu books, click here . Read on, to find out what is said about this by 2 Hindu Priests.

By Sadhu Chellapa:- Rig Vedas mentions about a God called Prajabathi or Perusha (God of Man). Prajapatiís sacrifice & offering took away the guilt of all mankind. When Prajapati visits the world in the form of Purusha, he will have ten distinctive characteristics: he will be a sinless man; divided from his family; his own nation will reject him; a plant of thorns will be placed upon his head; he will be tied to a tree that looks like a three-pointed spear; blood will flow from his body; he will die, but his bones will not be broken; he will return to life; he will offer his flesh to the sons of god; and all forms of mankind will build his body.
