Question #1a) Christians repent for their sins, ask for forgiveness and believe they have salvation. But then they repeat the sins and then confess and ask for forgiveness repeatedly. This doesnt make sense. (Abdul)
INTRO-This is a very common question about "Backsliding". Being saved and living a Christ like life is one of the most important part of Christs teaching. Lets split this response into 4 parts :-
1) Agree that we are sinners, Repent for our sins and ask God to forgive our sins
2) Accept that Jesus died for our sins and be Saved, be Born-Again & Baptized in Christ and try to improve and refrain from sin. (Refer Qn #8 for Born-Again)
3) As humans we may fall to temptation, backslide and repeat into sin
4) Either Goto Step 1 or continue in evil ways.
Humans are Imperfect - Before we enter step 3, remember that no human is perfect. (This is explained in next question.)
Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, lest you enter temptation. Spirit is willing, but flesh is weak.
God forgives - If we admit our weekness, humble ourselves and ask God to forgive us, God understands our weakness.
Heb 4:15 God understands our weakness for He was also tempted; He is able to sympathize with our weaknesses.
In step 4, we have either of 2 choices, 1->return to sin or 2->understand and improve. When we backslide, let us slide back to God.
2 Pet 2:22 A dog returns to its own vomit.
Improve - Gold is repeatedly heated in high temperatures to remove impurities. After each time; they must improve to a better stage and end up in perfection.
Col 3:10 Put off the old nature with its practices and put on the new nature, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator
Repeated Sin - Forgiveness does not allow us to sin repeatedly. The more we sin, the farther we get away from God and face punishment. God knows our weaknesses and wants us to repent and "improve", because He loves us. If our child sins we forgive them. But we want to see improvement and sometimes punish them. God does the same but is capable of forgiving great sins unlike us.
John 8:11/5:5-14 Jesus said: I do not condemn you; Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.
Gal 4:9 After you came to know God, you can not turn back again to bondage.
1 Pet 3:18 Jesus died for our sins once.
Rom 6:1-15 1: How shall we who died to sin live again in it. 9 Christ dies no more. 10 He died to sin once and for all. 15 We shall not sin under Grace.
Consequences:-
Heb 6:6 If they fall, to renew them again unto repentance; they crucify the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame
Heb 10:26 if we sin deliberately after receiving the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a fearful prospect of judgment, and a fury of fire which will consume the adversaries
29: there is worse punishment, who has trampled the son of God underfoot and insulted the Spirit of Grace
38: if anyone has drawn back, my soul has no pleasure in him.
(Ref:- Mat 12:31/ Eph 4:30 / 1 Thes 5:19 / Isa 63:10)
Repentance - Different faith vary on repentance. Some repeat words for forgiveness, go on pilgrimage, dip in river, perform sacrifices, pinch their ears, do sit-ups, break coconuts or roll on the ground. But the price of our sins is more and only the price of the pain and blood on the cross by Jesus is a justification for our sins.
After we accept Christ, we may have more hinderances, tribulations and temptations. This is a whole new topic explained in the next few topics & questions.

Question #1b) What can we do to avoid repeated sins?

INTRO:- Once we are saved, we are born-again thru the blood of Christ and Holy Spirit.
Titus 3:5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
1 John 5:18 BE BORN AGAIN: We know that whosoever is born of God sins not; but he that is begotten of God keeps himself, and that wicked one touches him not.
Col 3:10 Put off the old nature with its practices and 10 Put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,

Self-Renewal in Spirit But after this we maybe tempted and repeat sins. In order to avoid repeated sins, we need to renew ourselves regularly. Instead of dying spiritually daily, we need to die physically daily (1 Cor 15:31) and be renewed in the spirit of your mind (Eph 4:23). Each time we renew to a new better and Christ-like person (Gal 2:20)
Rom 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind
2 Cor 4:16 Though our outward man is perishing (1 Cor 15:31), yet the inward man is being renewed day by day (Gal 2:20).

In Action Thru Gods help we can overcome repeated sins by reading and knowing His Word, Obeying it and praying. In order to overcome these hurdles, we must :-
Psa 17:4 ABIDE by WORD: By the Word, I have kept away from evil.
119:1 Blessed are Who walk in the law of the LORD, who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him 3 They do no iniquity; They walk in His ways.
James 4:7 OBEY GOD & AVOID EVIL: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.
Mat 26:41 WATCH & PRAY, lest you enter into temptation.
1 John 5:18/3:9 BE BORN AGAIN: whosoever is born of God sins not; but he that is begotten of God keeps himself, and that wicked one touches him not.
Heb 6:1 GROW INTO PERFECTION: Let us LEAVE the discussion of the BASIC PRINCIPLES of Christ and let us go on to PERFECTION, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
Zach 4:6 BY MY SPIRIT: Not by might nor by power, (but by My Spirit), Says the LORD.

Question #2a) Why does God put us to temptations, it is too hard and I feel it is not fair?. If he really loves us then why put us thru tribulations. If you love someone truly will you allow them to suffer? (Ninar)

Question #2b) Im a christian youth who fell into sin the type that youth usually fall into. I feel guilty to goto church. I dont want to be a hypocrite. Why do you think i should still goto church while being weak? (Stalin)

Refer related question #2a above. No human is perfect. Great men of God have fallen to the sin that you have. But God doesnt call perfect people. He calls weak people and he makes them perfect.
God used a stammering person Moses to talk to the Jews, and he made him able to talk to them. Exodus 4:10-15 MOSES: I am not eloquent, slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. ..
Gen 32:22-28 (Jacob thought he is strong, God displaced his hip and he was limping till the end. Thenceforth He started depending on Lord.)
1 Cor 1:26-29 Not many of you were wise by human standards when called; not influential; not of noble birth. 27But God chose the foolish/weak/low/despised to shame the wise/strong
In fact we humble ourselves and learn when we fall.
2 Cor 11: 30 I will only glory of the things which concern mine shortages & infirmities.
2 Cor 12:5 Paul: I will not boast except in my shortages. When I'm weak, then I'm strong.
Sin shouldnt take you away from God. Dont make it a hinderance between you and God. You have a choice, either be ignorant & continue into sin OR try overcomming it with your own ability OR repent, return to the Lord ask forgiveness and ask him to take total control of you with the Holy Spirit. If we were not sinners we wouldnt need salvation or God.
Zechariah 4:6 "Not by strength, not by might, but with My spirit," says the Lord of Hosts.
Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things, through Christ Who strengthens me."
Prov 3:7 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 acknowledge him, and he shall direct you. 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil

Question #3) I am a God fearing man, but I have been discouraged by seeing sinners who are full of filth enjoy and not suffer, while I am facing lot of problems. Is this fair? (J)

This is what the Bible has to say :-
John 15:2 Every branch in me that does not bear fruit, He takes away, end every branch that bears fruit, He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

Ecclesiastes 8:8 Though a sinner does evil a hundred time, and his days are prolonged, yet I surely know that it will be well with those who fear God, who fear before him.
Pastor T. DeenaDayalan, Bangalore

(Ref:- Col 3:25/Rom 2:6,12,13-Evil will be punished; Gal 6:8-What you sow that you reap, 9-Dont lose heart, do good; 1 Pet 4:5/Mat 12:36-Wrong will give a/c in judgement day)

Question #4) A pastor ministers to Gays & Lesbians. He goes to Gay bars and visits their home and tried to lead them to the Lord. Not many people do this. He is getting mocked at for this effort of his. Is his ministry wrong or right ? (Cherian)

The Bible clearly states that homosexuality is an abomination, but the question is how do we deal with them. Some people sympathize with them saying it is a sickness and weakness, so is bestiality and pedophilia.
(i) Our Body is a Temple of God, Christ & Holy Spirit
1 Cor 3:16/6:13-19/2 Cor 6:16 We are the Temple of God and holy spirit and members of Christ. Body is not for sexual immorality but for God. Flee Sexual immorality. If anyone defiles it, God will destroy him.

(ii) Homosexuality is an abomination to God
Romans 1:24 God gave sinners up to uncleanness through lusts, to dishonor their bodies between themselves: 27 men leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men. 32 they are worthy of death.
Jude 1:5 God, saved the people afterward destroyed them that believed not...7 giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

(iii) But Jesus loved the weak and the sinners
Matt 9: 12 Those who are well dont need a physician, but the sick. 13 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners."
Romans 5:6 While we were still weak, Christ died for the ungodly
Heb 4:15 Jesus understands our weakness for He was also tempted;
These words say that Jesus came for the week, unclean, gentiles, sinners and also saved a prostitute caught in adultery.

(iv) We must reach out to the weak
Col 1:28 Him we preach, warning all man in all wisdom, to present all perfect in Christ
Romans 15 the strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak
1 Thes 5:14 We exhort you, admonish the idlers, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all
The Bible states that we must spread the gospel and people must repent and come to salvation. We must not reject them totally, but we must not encourage their lust.

(v) But We must be wise in relating with them
We must preach the gospel to them, but they cannot continue in sin or have a gay church. This will encourage them in their sins forever.
1 cor 5:9,13Dont keep company with sexually immoral people
2 Thes 3:6,14-16Withdraw from the disorderly. Do not keep company with the disobedient, Yet dont count him as enemy but admonish him as a brother.
Gal 6:1If anyone is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore him in a gentle spirit, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.
Romans 14:1 welcome the man who is weak in faith, but not for disputes over opinions.
1 Cor 8:9 Take care lest this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to the weak. 10 For if any one week sees you...maybe encouraged...& destroyed, the brother for whom Christ died. 12 Thus, you sin against Christ.
I disagree with going to gay bars and living with gays to reach out to them which could cause 3 issues :-
a) Anybody seeing a preacher in a gay bar may think he is gay .
b) A weak person may think it okay to go there giving a liberal view of gays, accepting them into society.
c) what if we fall into their lust, the evil of lust is strong to tempt us.
2 Thes 3:14 Do not keep company with anyone who disobeys the word; 15 do not treat him as an enemy but admonish hims as a brother.
There are 2 types of gays, ones that want to change from their world and others that want to change the word of God by saying that being gay is okay. You cannot have a gay church or a gay pastor. That’s a contradiction & oxymoron. God gives the rules; we don’t give him our rules and force him to accept it. Their old nature needs to die and they need to be reborn in Christ.
Col 3:9 Put off the old nature with its practices and put on the new nature, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator
1 Cor 5:6 a little leaven leavens the whole lump? 7 Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump 9 do not associate with immoral men
Amen !!!

Question #5) What are views in entering a temple with idols? - Chandran

There is only one God
as per the Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Islam, Christianity) and even Sikhism and Zoroastrianism. I am referring to people of all religions since idol worship exists at different level. To some, money, work, stock market, computer, TV and many other worldly things that grab all their attention can also be idols.
Mark 12:32 & 1 Cor 8:6 & Romans 3:30 The truth: there is one God; and none other.
Ephesians 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all.
1 Timothy 2:5 There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, Christ Jesus;
James 2:19 You believe there is one God; and do well: the devils also believe and tremble.

Abstain from places with idols
1 John 5:21 Children, keep yourselves from idols.
1 Corinthians 10:14 My beloved, shun the worship of idols.
1 Cor 5:9-11 . 11 do not associate with any one who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of immorality or greed, or is an idolator, reviler, drunkard, or robber--not even to eat with such a one."

Act 7:44 / Act 17:24 & 29 / Act 19:26God doesnt dwell in temple made by hand.

Some people visit temples to please their friends or to avoid offending them, but should be pleasing God instead. James 4:4 / Col 3:23-25 / Acts 5:35-39. We must be well protected while visiting such places (Eph 6:11). If we try to be liberal and go to temple a weak person may think it fine to do so.
1 Cor 8:9 Take care lest this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to the weak. 10 For if any one week sees you...maybe encouraged...& destroyed, the brother for whom Christ died. 12 Thus, you sin against Christ.

From BlueNeck:- While there are many Scriptures that warn us not to partake of food that is offered to idols, yet there are no clear Scriptures telling us not to enter a temple. If you enter a temple or the sanctuary of an idol, I think what is more important are these things to consider:
(a) The intention with which you enter such a place
(b) does your entry into such a place glorify God?
(c) Are you fully convinced that you are protected and above the powers that lurk in such places of worship? Do you believe in the full armor of God and are you wearing it? Can you withstand the assault of the powers therein? (even if you are only going to look at the beauty of the workmanship, yet you cannot enter such a place casually, for the powers won't attack others, but will surely attack you for you are a child of God).
From personal experience, I avoid such places. God does consider such places an abomination. In the book of kings, it talks about many such deeds and it says that they did wicked things in the sight of God! - BlueNeck

Question #6) When do we seek Gods will ? Is it only for important things or for each and every small things? I keep hearing pastors say "Let me seek Gods will" or others say "If God willing" for small things like Eg buying a sofa, house, clothes, eating outside. (Ninar)

There is nothing wrong in finding God's will for small things. God has revealed in his word, his written will. If there is a genuine need of a sofa, clothes or eating outside we do it. But taking decision to buy an house or some other important thing, it is always good to find God's will.
Proverb 28:16 A ruler who lacks understanding is a great oppressor, But he who hates covetousness will prolong his days.
Proverb 3:5,6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding, In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
Pastor T. DeenaDayalan, Bangalore
(Examples of applying Gods will:- James 4:15/Act 18:21/Rom 1:10/Mat 8:2)

Question #7) How do we know what Gods will is and how do we get decision from God on what His will is for a particular decision ? How do we know that the voice we hear is Gods? (Chella)

God's will always confirm with the word of God. Lord speaks to his people through visions, dreams and his voice to our spirit. But always confirm it twice or thrice. Address your prayers to Lord and say Lord I don't want to hear any other voice, dream or vision. If we wait long enough in the presence of God he will answer our prayers. There should not be any major sin in our life which will become an obstacle to hear from God. Abraham disobeyed God and married Agar. Lord did not speak to him for 13 years.

John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me
Pastor T. DeenaDayalan, Bangalore
(Ref: 1 John 4:4-6;those of the world hears the world and is heard by wordly;Only the Godly hears God)

Question #8) What is meant by Born-Again Christian? (AD)

Born again experience is part of the steps to Salvation. Click to see all the steps. A person is born-again after he:-
1) realizes his sin too heavy for him to bear and repents for it.
2) he admits he is a sinner and confesses his sins to the only God and not to some man or idol or Mary.
3) he asks God for forgiveness
4) he accepts that the price of his sin can only be washed away by the sacrifice of Jesus and accepts Jesus as the messiah and savior
5) he promises never to sin again and gives his life to Jesus and tries to be a new-better person.
6) he takes water baptism and beleives in the baptism of the holy spirit, which guides him away from sin
He is born again as a new person and his old sinfullness has died with the sacrifice of Jesus. All christians must accepts all point. However #6 is the reason where churches debate.

To be "Born again" is a "spiritual rebirth" by letting our sinfull past die thru the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and giving our life to him thus attaining salvation. Our spirit is dead to sins we commit. But when we repent and turn away form sin asking forgivness and give our lives over to Jesus Christ inviting Him to enter our heart, He enters our heart with the Holy Spirit and gives us a good spirit and nature, one that is not compelled toward sin and we become Born Again.

John 1:12-13 As many as received Him, He gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 3:3-6 Jesus said, unless one is born again, born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. You must be born again.
1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
Gal 1:15 Here Paul feels that before he met Jesus he was unborn and still in his mothers womb.

The Book of 1 John talks about being born again repeatedly.
1 John 2:29 everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him
3:9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin...because he is born of God
4:7 everyone who loves is born of God and knows God
5:1 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God; 4 whatever is born of God overcomes the world; 18 one born of God keeps himself and the wicked does not touch him

OLD vs NEW The oldness in us needs to die. You cannot be born again, if you died before, you cannot be burried if you have died to your sins.
Eph 4:22 put off your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness
Col 3:9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him
Rom 6:4 We were buried with Jesus thru baptism into death. Just like Jesus rose from the dead, we must walk in newness of life.
Rom 12:2 Let be transformed by the renewing of mind. (Eph 4:23/Rom 7:20 vs Gal 2:20)
2 Cor 4:16/ 5:17 Any man in Christ, is a new creature: old things are passed away; all things become new.
John 12:24 unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain
1 Cor 5:7 Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. (Gal 5:9) 13 But those who are outside God judges. Therefore put away from yourselves the evil person.
1 Cor 15:36 what you sow is not made alive unless it dies 42 in is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption

Question #9) Jesus forgave prostitutes, is this fair? How can they get to heaven?(AD)

There are atleast 2 instances :-
1) Stoning of prostitute caught in the act:-
In John 8:2-11, a prostitute caught in the act was going to be stoned to death. Jesus said only perfect men can throw a stone and they all left. Jesus didnt condemn her and asked her to "sin no more". Forgiven once doesnt guarantee her heaven. Similarly Christians dont have lifelong forgiveness of sins. They need to be born-again out of sin into a new person after asking for forgivness and accept the sacrifice of Jesus. This must happen only once, But after that they need to stop sinning else they will be punished.
2) Prostitute who paid respect to Jesus:-
A pros buys expensive perfume washed Jesus feet with her hair and kisses and he justifies it and forgives her.
Luke 7:37 a sinful woman brought an alabaster jar of perfume, 38and as she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them. 44 "she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet, poured perfume on my feet. 47 Therefore, her many sins have been forgiven for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little." 48 Then Jesus said to her, "Your sins are forgiven. Your faith has saved you; go in peace (and sin no more)."

Question #10) Who killed Jesus, Jews or Romans? (AD)

Jesus preached against pride, ritualistics, rules, hipocrisy of Jews and came to preach to tax collectors, poor, sinners, sick and outcastes. So Jews wanted him dead as many followed him. So they asked the Romans to kill him else scaring the Romans of revolt/uprising.
The Roman Emperor Pontius Pilate & Herod kept delaying to save him. Pilates wife had a vision that Jesus was innocent. Pilate even offerend them the choice if they wanted to release either Jesus or the most dreaded criminal Barabas but Jews prefered Barabas. In the end he washes his hands leaving decision to them. Mathew 26 & 27 answers your questions:-
Mathew 26:3 The chief priests assembled with the high priest, 4and plotted to arrest and kill Jesus in some sly way ...59The chief priests were looking for false evidence against Jesus to put him to death... 65the high priest tore his clothes saying, "He has spoken blasphemy! He is worthy of death"...
Mathew 27:19 While Pilate was judging Jesus, his wife said "Don't kill that innocent man, for I dreamed about him." 20But the chief priests persuaded to have Jesus executed...22"What shall I do, then, with Jesus? Why? What crime has he committed?" " Pilate asked. They all answered, "Crucify him!" 24When Pilate was getting nowhere, and an uproar starting, he washed his hands with water in front of the crowd. "I am innocent of this man's blood," he said. "It is your responsibility!" 25All the people answered, "Let his blood be on us and on our children!"
John 19:11 Jesus said to Pilate, "The one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin."
(Ref #13)

Question #11) How do we need to be to enter the Kingdom of God?

1) We must repent & need to be born again
To read about Born-Again, goto Qn#8 or click here. The first request from Jesus and John the baptist are about repentence
Mark 1:15 The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news.
John 3:3 Jesus said, No one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born again. of water and Spirit.

2) We Must be believers & righteous
Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says Lord Lord, (prophecied, delivered and miracled) will enter the Kingdom of God, but he who does the will of my father in heaven. I will say I never knew them.
Matthew 5:19,20 Unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.
Galatians 5:5,19/1 Corinthians 6:9 The acts of the sinful...will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Matthew 21:43 The kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.

3) We must not be money minded or worldly. Must not live in flesh but in spirit
Gal 5:19 who practice the works of the flesh will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Matthew 19:24 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. 29 everyone who left houses or family or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.
1 Corinthians 15:50 Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
Rom 14:17 Kingdom of God is not about eating and drinking but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

4) We must be ready to bear Hardships
Acts 14:22 We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God.
2 Thessalonians 1:4 Among God's churches we encourage perseverance and faith in persecution and trials. 5and you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for this suffering.
Mat 5:3,10 The poor in spirit and those who will be persecuted for righteousness sake will enter the Kingdom of God .

5) We must be humble
Mark 10:15 Anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.
Matthew 18:2 Unless you are like little children, you will not enter the kingdom of God.

Question #12) Is it wrong to eat pork? (Joji)

The Bible, Torah and Quran prohibit eating pork. Most Christians focus more on the teachings of Christ in the New Testament and ignore the Old testament.
The OLD TESTAMENT (Torah/Taurat), clearly speak against eating pork:-
Leviticus 11:7 / Deuteronomy 14:8 8 The pig is unclean...You are not to eat their meat or touch their carcasses.
Isaiah 65: 2 I have held out my hands to an obstinate people... 4 who eat the flesh of pigs, and unclean meat
Isaiah 66:17 those who eat the flesh of pigs and rats and other abominable things will meet their end together

NEW TESTAMENT:-
St. Paul said that all food is clean in his letter to the Ephisians that Jesus had abolished the Law with all its commandments and regulations.
Romans 14:20 Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble.
Ephesians 2:14 he is our peace, who has made the two one and destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15 by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations.
Matthew 15:11 Jesus: That which enters into the mouth doesn't defile the man; but that which proceeds out of the mouth.

This doesnt mean we can eat pork. It asks us to give preference to work of God and talks against blind rituals and rules. Jesus said he didnt come to abolish the Law and was against breaking any law.
Matthew 5:17"I have not come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; but to fulfill them. 18 not the smallest letter, will disappear from the Law. 19Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches them will be least in heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be great in heaven.

The true followers of Jesus, did not eat unclean food
Acts 10:14 Peter:"I have never eaten anything impure or unclean"
In Acts 15:29 & 21:25, the disciples decide to impose food regulations on believers and Paul demonstrated his full agreement with them.

In summary, yes we must avoid pork but lets focus strongly on the teachings of Christ, our actions are more important than what we eat. More than fighting about what we need to eat we must make sure we do not do evil.

Question #13) Was Judas a good disciple? (Nainar)

The below verses answers that Judas was tempted, fallen, cursed and condemned. Jesus calls him devil, sinner and satan entered him. Also refer M2 on what muslims read of him in the Quran.
Matt 26:24 "woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed. It would have been better if he was not born
John 6:70 Jesus said "have I not chose you and one of you (Judas) is a devil"
Luke 22:3 The satan entered Judas... and he joined Jesus at the passover.
Matt 27:4 Judas cried "I have sinned by betraying innocent blood." Then he went and hanged himself.
John 12:5,6 Judas was a thief and stole from the offerings.
John 12:2 The devil put into the heart of Judas to betray Jesus.
John 19:11 Jesus said to Pilate, "The one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin."
Gal 3:13 Cursed is one who hangs on a tree.
(Ref Act 1:16-25 Judas fell to his own place. )

Question #14) What are Bibles views of money? (Rao)

Bible considers greed for money as evil. Jesus collapsed the money maker system in the temple calling them thieves. (Mat 21:12).
1 Tim 6:10 The love of money is the root of all evils.
Matt 6:19 Do not lay up treasures on earth, but in heaven.
24 You cannot serve 2 masters, God and mammon.

We need to surrender to God the right amount. When Jesus called his disciples, it says they left their nets & boats (Mat 4:20,22). One disciple had to leave his dead father and follow Jesus (Matt 8:22). He calls Matthew from work at (Matt 9:9). He asks one to sell all his property and follow him. When Ananias keeps a share he dies. Now these apply to followers and disciples who should be ready to leave everything for Christ. In Mark 10:46 if a begger could let go of his only cloak and his belonging, why not us.
Mat 22:21 - Reder to Caesar what is Caesars and to God that is Gods.
Matt 19:21 Sell what you have give it to the poor, and you will have treasures in heaven, to come follow me. 24 Its easier for a camel to enter a needles eye than a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. 29 everyone who left houses or family or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.
Instead God chose the poor to be rich in faith as heirs of the kingdom of God (James 2:5).
Acts 5 - (Ananias and his wife sold their property and hit a part, they were cursed and died.)

If we honor the Lord he will provide our needs. Give the Lord what is Right and not what is Left.
Acts 8:18-20 As per Simons incident we infer that money cannot buy blessings
2 Cor 9:6-9 How you sow is how much you will reap; God loves a cheerfull giver; God will suffice in abundance
Prov 3:9 Honor the Lord with your possessions, and firstfruits of all your increase, your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will overflow with new vine.
We must not be associated with anything ungodly even if it is of high value.
Act 19:19 People burn their valuable magic books 50000 pieces of silver.
Luke 12:13-21 & 16:19 Jesus talks about 2 instances where the Rich man displeases God.
(Ref Luke 16:9-13; James 1:11-Rich will fade away; 5:1-3-Rich weep in misery and riches corrup & corroded; 2 Cor 8:9 Jesus was rich and became poor to make us rich)

Question #15) How do we know if a prophet is false or not? (Varun)

We can find a false prophet by his fruits. If there is anger, greed, lust, confusion, pride, bitterness, the it is false. If he is worldy and speaks in the flesh in a worldly manner, he is false.
Matt 7:15-20 Beware of false prophets who come in sheep clothes. But inside they are like ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. A good tree bears good fruits and bad bear bad.
Matt 12:33 A tree is known by its fruits. A good man brings forth good things and an evil man brings forth evil.
Matt 24: 5 Many will come in Jesus name saying they are the Christ and will decieve many.
11 Many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
24 For false christs and prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive the elect.
John 10 Im the good shepherd. My sheep knows my voice and will follow me. The good shepherd gives his life for the sheep.
1 John 4:3-6 Every spirit that does not confess Jesus came in the Fleshis not of God. Its the spirit of anti-christ. They are of the world and speak of the world and the world hears them. By this we know the spirit of truth or spirit of error.

Question #16) Was Jesus pre-existing before 2000 years? (Cecil)

The titles "FIRSTBORN" & "WORD of GOD" explains it all. Even in Islam one of the titles of Isa (Jesus) is Kalimathulla (Word of God).

CREATION
1 Pet 1:20 He was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in last times.

Eph 3:9 and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God, who created all things thru Jesus Christ
2 Tim 1:9 God saved us, not by our works, but His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Jesus "BEFORE TIME BEGAN".

Question #17) Where does God talk about Jesus to the prophets in the Old Testament? (Cecil)

Jesus was part of the whole plan right from the beggining.

John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Rom 11:36 of him, and through him, and to him, are all things to whom be glory for ever
Rom 8:29 For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that He might be the Firstborn among many brethren.
Rom 16:25 ...the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began.
1 Cor 2:7. we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom, which "God ordained before the world" 8 Which none knew: else they would not have crucified the Lord.

The Old Testament was the law for a preparation to humanity for the comming and accepting of Jesus thru faith instead of rules.
Gal 3:16,19/24 16: God promised the Seed that was Christ to his prophets; 19 Law was added due to transgression till the Seed had come 24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

(Ref Heb 1:2; Act 3:21; Act 10:42; Rom 1:1; Rom 11:27; Is 59:20)

Jesus is refered to the Word, Seed, Rock, Lamb, Light, Water, Veil etc to Adam & Eve, Abraham, Issac, Jacob, Moses, Daniel and David.

SEED
God refers to Jesus as the Seed. Later in the parables Jesus refers the seed to himself and the 'Word Of God'.
Gen 3:15 (To Eve) 15. And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her Seed;
Gen 22:18(Abraham) /21:12; 26:4(Issac) / 28:14 (Jacob) In thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed

Mat 13:3 Jesus talks of a parable with people receiving receiving Seed (refers to 'Word of God' Luke 8:11).

LIGHT
These verses clearly refer to Jesus as the Light VS darkness. (Ref Mat 4:13-16/Is 9/2/ Cor 4:6)
Gen 1:3 God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4. and God divided the light from the darkness.
John 1:4. In him was life; and the life was the Light of men. 5. And the Light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
John 8:12 Jesus said, "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life".
(Ref Eph 5:8)

ROCK/STONE
Jesus is the rock providing living water to Moses. Also the Stone "made without hands" in the dream interpreted by Daniel. Also the chief coner stone that will powder others as in the dream of Daniel. Also the Rock of salvation that we build our house upon (Ref Mat 7:24/Ps 62)
Exodus 17:6 thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come Water out of it, that the people may drink.
1 Cor 10:4. And did all drink the same spiritual drink of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
Daniel 2:34. Thou sawest a stone cut out "without hands", which smote the image to pieces...

Is 28:16 I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, he that believeth shall not make haste.
(Ref Psalms 62)

WATER
Jesus is the Living Water that he gave the Israelites in the wilderness
Exodus 17:2 people asked Moses, "Give us Water that we may drink". 6 ...and there shall come Water out of the rock, to drink.
John 4:10. Jesus said unto her, I can give thee "Living Water".14 whosoever drinketh it shall never thirst; it shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

LAMB
If Abraham is the father of the nation, Issac represents the nation. And Jesus was then Lamb sacrificed instead of Issac (Nation). Later, the blood of the lamb saved the Israelites first born in Egypt.
Gen 22:13 And Abraham took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering instead of Issac
Exo 12:3/Act 13:35. ...they shall take to them a Lamb, 5 without blemish 7 strike the blood on the door

Psalms 110:1 The Lord said to my Lord
Mat 22:45. Jesus saith unto them, If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?

Question #18) Is Water Baptism a Must. I believe I am baptised with the Holy spirit. I feel it replaces the need of water baptism which I feel is a traditional and rules?(Cecil)

Baptism is part of the steps to Salvation. Click to see all the steps. Water Baptism is an outward expression and decision for an inward change. It represent cleansing of impurities and comming out clean. But after that Jesus baptises with the Holy Spirit. We all know Jesus took water Baptism. Even John the Baptist felt unworthy to Baptise Jesus. Was it needed for him? Because we need to be Christlike, He also came to show us how we need to be and what we need to do and Baptism was one of his main teaching.
Mat 3:6 people were baptized, confessing their sins; 11 John: I baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me ...shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and fire. 14 John said, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? 16 Jesus was "Baptized" out of the "Water".

John 3:3 Except a man be born again... 5 of "Water" "and" Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Note that he says we need to be baptised in Water. It also says "and Spirit". Most Christians skip/ignore this part which is more important.

The below verses talk about water baptism in specific:-
Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved
Mat 28:19 Go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
Act 2:38 Repent, be BAPTISED and be filled in the holy spirit (here it talks of both the baptisms separately.
1 John 5:8 There are 3 that bear witness on earth; spirit, water and blood and these 3 are one.
1 Pet 3:21 There is also an antitype which now saves us - BAPTISM (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Act 10:47. Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we.
Act 8:36 the eunuch said, See, water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?...I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. 38. and they went down both into the water, and he baptized him.

This shows that not only did Jesus stress on Water baptism to enter Heaven, John also stressed on it. And even after Jesus was crusified and rose, his disciples then and today follow & beleive in baptism. So we must be baptized, if we are his followers. Also note that after Baptism we need to be a new person (Gal 3:27/ Col 2:12/ Rom 6:3)

Heb 6:1 Let us LEAVE the discussion of the BASIC PRINCIPLES of Christ and let us go on to PERFECTION, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of BAPTISMS, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
Other verses for baptism are:- Mat 3:6,11,13,16. Mark 1:4,8,9, 16:16. Luke 3:6,29. John 1:33, 3:3,5,23. Act 8:13, 9:18, 19:2-6. 1 Cor 10:2. Gal 3:27; Rom 6:3,4. Col 2:12. 1 Pet 3:21.

Question #19) What is the first instruction from God to humans? (Jai)

God gave the first instruction to Adam. We all say "God asked Adam not to eat the fruit". True but there is more if we look at the exact words. He talks about Knowledge leading to Death :-
Gen 2:17 God commanded Adam of the tree of the "knowledge of good and evil", you shalt not eat of it: for in the day that you eat thereof you shalt surely "Die".
But is knowledge bad? and did Eve die after eating the fruit? To analyse this lets break the verse in two, click on them to read about "knowledge of good and evil" and "death".

Question #20) What is meant by "Knowledge of Good & Evil" (wordly wisdom)? (Jai)

The "Knowledge of Good & Evil" is refering to Worldly-Wisdom. There are 2 types of Wisdom, Wordly & Spiritual.
James 3:15 This wisdom does not descend from above but is earthly, sensual and demonic. 17 But the wisdom from above is pure, peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and hipocrisy.
Worldy Wisdom/Knowledge - God abhors Wisdom of this world of intelectuallity. Some knowledge and wisdom give power to men and they rely more on the world rather than God. Eg there are great doctors and scientists that depend on worldly knowledge, wisdom, science etc. and they hence declare there is no God or they define God.
1 Cor 1:17 Christ sent me to preach the gospel: not with "wisdom of words"... 19. I will destroy the "wisdom of the wise", and destroy the "understanding of the prudent". 20 God made foolish the "wisdom of this world" 21. "world by wisdom" knew not God... 25. the foolishness of God is wiser than men; the weakness of God stronger than men. 26. not many "wise men" mighty noble are called: 27. God chose the foolish to confound the wise
1 Cor 2:1. I came not with excellency of speech or wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. 4. And my speech and my preaching not with enticing words of "man's wisdom" 5. That your faith should not stand in the "wisdom of men", but in the power of God. 6. speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the "wisdom of this world", nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
1 Cor 3:18 If any man among you seemeth to be "wise in this world", let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 19. For the "wisdom of this world" is foolishness with God. 20. The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise are vain.
2 Cor 1:12 in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with "fleshly wisdom", but by the grace of God.
Spiritual Wisdom/Knowledge - Spiritual Wisdom is acquired thru knowledge from the Gospel (Word of God) and guidance of the HolySpirit.
Psalms 110:10/Pro 1:7 Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom/knowledge: but fools despise wisdom. Prov 3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. 13-18 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom 19. The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth 21 keep sound wisdom and discretion.
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him
1 Cor 12:1. Now concerning spiritual gifts... 8. to one is given by the Spirit the "word of wisdom".
1 Cor 2:7. we speak the "wisdom of God" in a mystery which God ordained before the world: 8. Which none of the princes of this world knew...13. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth 14. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
(Ref:- 1 Cor 4:9-13/ James 3:13/ Mat 10:16-Be wise as serpents/ Col 2:2)

Question #21 a) Did Eve die after eating the fruit (Jai)

Adam & Eve disobeyed God and ate the fruit and did die in many ways. They were spiritually dying and ageing started after their disobedience leading to Sin.
1 Cor 15:56 The Sting of death is sin
Rom 6:23 Wages of sin is death
John 8:24 Earthly people will die to sin, if we do not beleive in Jesus.

Knowledge of good and bad may tempt us to do what is forbidden. This is called "Negative Psychology".
Rom 7:15. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. 19. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.

This sin was passed on to humanity
1 Cor 15:22. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive
Rom 5:12. by one man sin entered the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. 14. death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression

Even the Law that was brought thru Moses only strengthened sin as in Rom 2-6.
Rom 7:9. For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. 10. And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
(Ref: Rom 2-7)

Question #21 b) How to overcome this death from sin? (Jai)

This death can be only overcome thru the Sacrifice of Jesus and his Mercy & Grace.
Rom 4:17. God quickeneth the dead
Rom 5:17. by one man's offence death reigned by one; they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. 21. sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
Rom 6:7-13. 7:He who died with Christ has been freed from sin and shall live with Him and sin nomore. 13 yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members instruments of righteousness unto God.
Rom 8:11-13 if Gods Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us, He will also give life to your mortal bodies similarly. 13: if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
Eph 2:1. you who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2. in past ye walked according to this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that worketh in children of disobedience...5. Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ
Col 2:13 you being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses
We think we are living a life and then die, but in fact the worldly-people are dying and only thru Christ they can overcome death and have everlasting Life as per John 3:16

Question #22) What does the Bible say about Worldliness? (Jai)

The Bible strongly condemns affinity or love for this world. It says that we must not be confined to worly things (Rom 12:2), but set our mind on things above (Col 3:2). With Jesus we have peace but in the world we have tribulations, but Jesus has overcame the world (John 16:33). Here are 3 points and verses about the worldly people.

Worldly is different from Godly
John 3:31/8:23 Jesus is from heaven and above all, but who is on earth is earthly.
1 John 4:3-6 Children of God overcome the world; Who is in us is greater than one who is in the world. They are of the world and speak of it and the world hears them. We are of God and who knows God hears us.

World hates the Godly
John 7:7 World hates Jesus as He testifies of their evil.
John 15:18 World hates children of God as they also hated Jesus; the world loves its own
John 17:14,16 I gave them the Word and world hates them as they are not of the world; Im not of the world.

World is Enemy of Christ
James 4:4 Friends of the world are enemies of God.
Phil 3:18 Enemies of Christ set mind on worldly things.
1 John 2:15 Do not love the world, else Gods love is not in you

Overcome the World thru Christ
John 16:33 In Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
1 John 5:4 whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world our faith. 5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

Question #23) What would be the views of Jesus on Traditional (Christian) Believers? (Jai)

Mat 5:20 Jesus: unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.
Here Jesus says that we must not be mere traditional believers who follow rules and regulations created by men. God had given some commandments thru Moses and Abraham, but these became a ritual and traditional and lost its meaning. People who followed it were proud and arrogant. He repeatedly highlights Gods commandments instead of traditions and commands created by men. We need to die to the world and traditions and follow the tradition given by Jesus instead as said in 2 Thes 3:6
Matt 15:3/Mark 7:7-9 Jesus: Why do you transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition? 6 you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition. 9 in vain they worship Me, Teaching doctrine-commandments of men.
Titus 1:14 dont give heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn from the truth
Col 2:8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. 20 if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why do you subject yourselves to regulations 22 things which perish using commandments and doctrines of men?
1 Cor 11:2/2 Thes 3:6 withdraw from every brother who walks disorderly and not according to the tradition received from us.
Gal 1:11-14 Gospel preached is not according to man; but revelation for Jesus. I was zealous for the traditions of my fathers.
(Ref 1 Pet 1:18; Mat 23:29; John 8:42 Traditions from Abraham Vs Teachings of Jesus)

Question #24) What is the spiritual meaning of "Fish" ? (Saju)

Fish refers to people (friend, customers or believers). They can either be for strengthening a church, or to bring new friends in our life or to bring new clients or customers for a system. The gospels have few good references about fish in the following ways:-
Matt 4:19 Jesus said "Come to me and I will make you fishers of men"
(This means that if we put our trust in the Lord he will send us people.)
Matt 14:14/15:35 Jesus multiplies fish and bread for 5000/4000 people from the little available. Similary he is able to create new people from a very few.
John 21:1-6/Luke 5 Fishermen didnt catch fish after waiting for long, then Jesus asks them to cast the net into the deep and to the right side. They caught so much fish. The same way when we try to get people with our own efforts, hospitality and talents, we will not succeed, but Jesus can get us more than we expect. In the fishnet-parable-Matt 13:47 not all fishes that come into the net will be accepted and we will be sorted by angels on judgement day.
Note:- In Matt 14/15 Jesus creates new fishes but in John/Luke he brings other fishes into the net. Same way Jesus can not only bring existing people to us but also lead new friends of believers to us.
Matthew 7:10/Luke 11:11 if he asks for a fish, God will not give a snake.
The same way when we pray for God to lead people to us he will give us good believers

Question #25 a) How can Celebrating Christmas be more meaningfull ? (Jai)

Introduction - Christmas is the most widely celebrated festival all over the world. For many, this is the only way they get to know about Jesus. For Christians, some being very spiritual dont celebrate it at all and some celebrate it in a very worldly way. Christmas should not be worldly (God dislikes worldlines - Jam 4:4/Phil 3:18) or traditional (do not make the commandment of God of no effect by our tradition (Mat 15:6 / Mark 7:7-9).
As for me I feel we should celebrate his birthday daily. We must thank him for his gifts daily. It is our duty to let others know who Jesus us (after we surely know who he is). I view it in more of a spiritual way instead of a party. I feel "Christmas" and "party" are oxymorons since the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking; but righteousness, peace and joy in the HolySpirit (Rom 14:17).
Meaningfull Christmas celebration - To celebrate anyone's birthday (expecially anyone who is not physically with us) :-
1) We must know them
2) They must know us
3) They must be someone whom we love
4) It has to be somone whom we remember
1) Do we know Jesus? - Many christians think they know Jesus. This is not so. Believing Jesus doesnt mean we know he existed for true. To believe in Jesus means to know, accept, practice and share His teachings. If we dont do this, merely celebrating christmas loses its meaning.
1 John 2:3 We know Him, if we keep His commandments (Ref 3:24 / John 8:55)
2) Does Jesus know us? - May assume Jesus knows them. Jesus does not (want to) know some people even if they did miracles in his name but ignored his Will(Mat 7:21) or those who are not prepared like the parable of the foolish virgins (Mat 25:12)
Mat 7:21 he who does Gods will shall goto heaven.23 Jesus: I never knew those who practice lawlessness
Mat 25:12 He said, I say to you, I do not know you.
3) Do we love Him? - If you love someone you will respect their expectations. If we love God, we have to obey His commandments, else we dont love Him.
1 John 5:3 This is the love of God, that we keep His commandments.
John 14:15 If we love Jesus we have to keep his commandments. 23 Jesus: If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words
John 21:15-17 If you love Me Feed My lambs, Tend My sheep. Feed My sheep.
In agreement to the above verse, the most important commandment of Jesus was to
Mat 28:19 Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and I am with you always
4) Do we Remember Him? - To remember Him, Jesus did not ask us to celebrate His birthday, but He expects us to partake in the communion of bread and wine. Bread is the spiritual food which is his body of the 'Word of God'. So we must feed on the Word of God and also his blood of his sacrifice must be applied to wash our sins and keep us away from death.
1 Cor 11:24 Jesus: Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me. 25 This cup is the new covenant in My blood. drink in remembrance of Me.

Celebrating Christmas will be more meaningfull, if we know & love Jesus, i.e., if we:-
1) "believe" in his teachings (John 3:16)
2) keep his "commandments" (1 John 2:3)
3) do His "will" to enter His kingdom (Mat 7:21/28:19).
4) "remember" Him, by partaking in the communion of His blood and body.
3) are "prepared" for His comming as it says in the 2 parables of the wedding (Mat 22:12) and virgins (Mat 25:12)
Conclusion:- We can celebrate Christmas by following and sharing the teachings & commandments of Christ.

Question #25 b)Teachings of Jesus that people ignore
Some of the basic important teachings are about Love (Mat 22:36), Humility(Mat 18:2) and Faith. We all say we have these but in real it isnt so, eg we say we love our own family but there is no reward in loving our own brother (Matt 5:44). Lets not debate or measure the basic teachings, lets look at 4 teachings that we fail at.
1) We must repent & be born again
Matt 3:2 & 4:17 - John the Baptist & Jesus both take their first topic about Repentence saying "Repent for the kingdom of God is near".
Acts 2:38 - This verse prioritizes repentence over baptism. "Repent, be baptised and be filled with the holy spirit."
John 3:3 - How many of us are baptised "both" in water and "spirit". We sometimes ignore the spirit part after we take water baptism. "Jesus said, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born again of water and Spirit".
2) Bear Fruit
Many of us are content staying away from sin. We feel if we just dont sin, thats enough. But instead of warning of bad fruits, the bible warns about not bearing good fruits failing which we cant enter Heaven.
Matt 3:10 / 7:19 / John 15:2 Tree not bearing fruit will be put in fire.
Matt 21:19 – Parable of the withered tree with no fruit shows how Jesus curses a tree since it had no good fruit. This applies to humans.
Matt 21:43 The kingdom of God will be taken away and given to a people who will produce fruit.
Matt 25:21 Good and faithfull servant with talents blessed for his fruit.
28 Unfruitfull servant thrown into darkness, his talent given to others.
3) We must be ready to bear Hardships
After being baptised, Jesus didnt end up in a resort but had to fast for 40 days that too in the wilderness in Matt 4. If that wasnt enough Satan tempts him. These days we are not ready to fast and even if we do, we dont want to get tempted after that. Jesus talks about giving up wealth to a rich man to enter the kingdom of God in Mat 19:24. Are we ready for that? Jesus taught about carrying his cross, but none of the disciples were there to carry the cross Mat 10:38. Instead the disowned him.
Mat 10:38/16:24- He who doesnt take the cross is not worthy of me
Phil 1:29 We must not only believe him, but suffer for his sake
Acts 14:22 We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God.
2 Tim 3:12 All who decide to live Godly will suffer persecution

Failing these will hinder us from entering His kingdom (read article #11 on
entering his Kingdom). Thus I conclude that if we call ourself followers of Christ, we must be prepared and practice His "teachings and will", else celebrating his birth doesnt make sense.

Question #M1) I beleive Quran contents are genuine, but i am told the Bible has changed over time as it was written and translated improperly? (AD)

HADITH compared to QURAN/BIBLE:-
The Quran never disproves the Bible anywhere. By fact it says the Bible can be used for furhter info and for details. But hadiths are different. There are some Hadith (tradition) which were written long time after the death of Muhammad by some Muslim clerics. It proves their ignorance about the Quran. Now a days Muslims emphasize much on Hadith and the Fotwa of their clerics. Read these following verses: SURAH 10 (Yunus): 94, SURAH 6 (An' am): 92 and 115, SURAH 5 (Maidah):68 SURAH 2 (Bakara): 106, SURAH 3 (Al-Imran): 3, SURAH 4 (Al- Nisa): 136, SURAH 46 (Ahkaf): 12.

LANGUAGES:-
Jesus used to speak in Aramaic the old spoken language of Palestine. Hebrew was only among Religious people and for temple woship. But all over the Roman empire Greek/Latin still was the Lingua Franka (official Language). In order to reach the majority people in the Roman empire the Gospel writers wrote NT in Koini Greek (spoken/ordinary Greek). Bible has 2 parts NT & OT. Newtestament is teaching of Jesus from his disciples. OldTestament is mostly from the Torah.

OLD TESTAMENT:-
During Jesus' time there was no doubt about Old Testament writings. All 39 books of the O.T was cannonically accepted long before Jesus and Jesus accepted that. He also quote from them. Jesus never quoted any verse from Apocrypha which Catholics accept it. Catholics Apocrypha is (extra books in OT)

NEW TESTAMENT:-
About N.T (New Testament) there are still 5,000 manascripts in Greek and 10,000 in Latin. These are the copies of the original writings by N.T writers. There is no original copy and even manascript of the Quran today. The Bible materials the original writers used in those days were durable & still exist. These manascripts which we have today are the copies of the copies like photo copy today.
All the books of the N.T were written before the end of 1st century and all the manascripts which we have today these were all copied within 120 A.D. These Manascripts are called Codex in Scroll form. There are three prominant codexes.
1. Codex Vaticanus (was found in 325 A.D), the earlies one kept at Vatican library
2. Codex Sinaiticus (was found in 350 A.D), kept at British Museum
3. Codex Alexandrias (was found in 5th century), kept at British Museum
So these can be viewed today.

QUMRAN:-
The latest proof to support Bible is the Dead Sea Scroll which was found in 1948 by a Muslim Beduyin shephard boy Muhammad Ad-Dhib at the cave of Qumran near the Dead sea in Palestine. Archiologists were called and they escavated and found 8 jars which were full of scrolls. All were Greek Text of the O.T and N.T. Scholers checked all those Texts with the Modern day Biblical Text and "no alteration was found". The Dead sea scroll is kept now at British Muiseum.
So, I gave the the Quranic proof, Historical and Archiological proof that there is no change in the Bible. Muslim brothers go to the Library in Vatican and the British museum if any doubt.

VERSES:-
There are 3 main Biblical verses:
2 Peter 1: 21
2 Timothy: 3: 16
Revelation 22: 18-19.
The Quran also has the same veiw: SURAH 6 (An'am): 34 and 115, SURAH 10 (Yunus): 64 SURAH 18 (KAHF): 27, SURAH 35 (Fatir): 43.

Question #M2) Muslims believe Jesus wasnt crucified, but Judas was instead, isnt this true. (AD)

JUDAS ISCARIOT has been betrayed as a bad disciple. He is refered to as a thief and devil and satan pocessed. One of the reason for suicide is evil possession. He betrayed Jesus to the Romans for 30 silver coins. He later regreted & hung himself. Jesus was crucified and was seen by the whole crowd including his mother, brothers and disciples.
Luke 22:3 Satan entered Judas and he went to the priest to negotiate capture of Jesus.
Mathew 26:14 1 of the 12 "Judas Iscariot" went to the chief priests 15and asked, "What are you willing to give me if I hand him over to you?" they gave 30 silver coins.
But Jesus knew this. It was part of the plan.
Mathew 26:20 Jesus at the last supper said, "one of you will betray me. 24The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him." 25Then Judas said, "Surely not I?" Jesus answered, "Yes, it is you."
Mathew 26:47 Judas came with a large armed crowd from the chief priests & said "The one I kiss is Jesus." 49Judas kissed Jesus saying "Greetings, Rabbi!". " 50Jesus was arrested. When his disciples resisted he stopped them.
Matthew 27:3When Judas, saw Jesus condemned, he remorsed and returned the 30 coins to the chief priests. They refused. 5So Judas threw the money into the temple and left and hanged himself.

Question #M3) All of my Christian friends say all you need is Jesus to be your savior to enter Heaven. Is that true? (AD)

Refer Qn#1 on Repeated-Sins. Refer Qn#11 on how we need to be to enter Heaven. Refer Qn#8 Born-Again. Answer is No thats not enough. Im sure you will agree, else its nonsense if you just accept Jesus and continue in sin, you cant goto heaven. Bible says even if you drove of demons and prophecied truly in Gods name but later sin as hipocrites, then we will not goto heaven:-
Mathew 7:21 Jesus said "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22They will say 'Lord, we prophesy, performed miracles and drive out demons in your name' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

Question #M4) In the Quran it says Jewish High priests asked Jesus if he was God or the last prophet and he said "No". Then why do you say he is divine? (AD)

Here are 2 instances, this is not true. Jesus answered Yes not No. If this was false then Quran should deny the Bible. Read below:-
Mathew 27:62 The high priest asked Jesus, "I charge you under oath by the living God: Are you the Christ, the Son of God." 64"Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied. "you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven."
Mathew 27:11 The governor asked Jesus, "Are you the king of the Jews?" "Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied.

Question #M5) In the Bible mentions about the last prophet comming after him. Why dont you believe it is Mohammed? (AD)

The Bible doesnt talk about any other prophet comming after him. It talks about a spirit of truth, the Holy Spirit. Mohammed cant be associated with truth. His statements were not consistent and changed frequently. He pointed people to Mecca, then Jerusalem the back to Mecca. He first approved the Bible but he contradicts in many places. John 14:16 I will pray the father who will give you another helper to abide with you forever.
17: the spirit of truth, whom the world cannot see.
26 The helper is the holy spirit whom the Father will send in my name. He will teach you all things and remind you of things I said to you.
John 15:26 When the Helper comes, whom Jesus will send from the father, the spirit of truth that proceeds from the father, He will testify about Jesus.
John 7:38 He who believes in me, out of his heart will flow rivers of living waters. He spoke concerning the spirit, whom his believers would recieve. For the Holy Spirit was not yet given, since Jesus was not yet glorified.
John 16:7 Jesus said "It is for your advantage that I go, for if I dont the Helper will not come to you whom I will send.
13 The spirit of truth will guide you in truth
14 he will glorify Jesus.
John 20:22 (After being risen) Jesus breathed on his disciples and said "Recieve the Holy Spirit".
1 John 4:3-6 Every spirit that does not confess Jesus came in the Fleshis not of God. Its the spirit of anti-christ. They are of the world and speak of the world and the world hears them. By this we know the spirit of truth or spirit of error.
(Ref Act 1:2,4,5)

Question #C1) Im a catholic. Why do you call us idolators when we are praying to an image of our God Jesus and Mary ? Why do protestants not consider Mary divine like us? They ignore the term "Infant Jesus" (Joji)

Worshiping Idol of God- There are some that pray towards an image of Jesus or a cross. This is still idol-worship. We cannot make an image of our God. The Bible clearly speaks against idol worship (refer #5 on idols). To be precise it says that we must not make images of Him and worship Him in a physical image.:-
2 Cor 6:16 What agreement has the temple of God with idols? 17 Therefore come out from them, and be separate from them
Exo 20:4 You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above
Exodus 32:3 All the people gave their gold to Aaron, to make a golden calf saying 'this is your GOD, O Israel, who brought you out of the land of Egypt'." 35 The Lord smote the people for this
Acts 7:48 The most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands
Thus, beyond doubt, we cannot make an image of Him and worship it.
Mother Mary - Mother mary is believed by Islam and Christians to have given virgin-birth to Jesus thru God and not by man. Catholics call her mother of God. A better way of putting is - "Mary is the mother of whom God became". She was chosen, pure and God fearing but she is neither God nor a part of the trinity. Nowhere in the bible does it talk about her being divine to be exalted to Gods level. If anobody would claim she is divine, they cannot support it with verses from the Bible for the Bible doesnt state so. She is mentioned before his birth, during his birth and at the time of his crucifiction. Thru the Bible, Jesus said that we can reach God thru Him not his mother:-
John 14:6 - Jesus saith I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 10:9 - I am the door; if any one enters by me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
Orgin - There is connection of this belief to history and culture of pre-christian times. In Europe, Africa and all over the world most men worshiped a goddess. So, the preachers tried to make it easy to preach the Gospel by replacing the pagan godess with Mary. Similarly Easter & Christmas is replacements of Pagan festivals like Ishtar, Saturnalia & Bacchanalia (worship of Roman gods, when multiple sex partners and orgies). But we need to breakoff from the bondage of our history, past and culture and renew ourselfes thru Christ.
Infant Baby Jesus - Since they elevate Mary so much, they vision Jesus as a mere baby in her hands. To many of them Jesus is still a baby. Thats good that they like the cute gracefull image of Jesus as a baby, but they need to remember that baby grew up and cast of demons, raised the dead to life and healed the men from leperosy, sickness and handicaped. These people need to grow up in their belief just like the infant baby Jesus did. It is not wrong to view the baby form of Jesus but we must not lose focus on the teaching of Christ which was preached after his age of 30.

Question #C2) Just like the Catholic believe, was Mary forever a Virgin? She is divine and can intercede and has appeared to many. (Joji)

Catholic believe that Mary is virgin and was virgin born. The think she was the only sinless human. They beleive she can interceded and even appear to many. But these are not Bible supported and we need to go by what the Bible says. Mary was a virgin only till the birth of Jesus. She was blessed with giving divine birth of Jesus and thats pretty much the Bible says. She did have other children. Jesus never asked to pray in her name nor does the Bible mention about her divinity. She passed away and cannot intercede or recommend for anyone. The devil tries to confuse us by appearing as her to divert people into worshipping her. Thus she wasnt an evergreen virgin. She can neither intercede nor appear. Here are a few verses which prove so:-
Mary was a virgin till Jesus was born:-
Matthew 1:18 When mother of Jesus, Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 1:24 Joseph did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took her as his wife, 25 and kept her a virgin until she gave birth to a Son; Jesus.
Jesus had brothers:-
Matthew 12:46 While Jesus was preaching, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. 47Someone told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you." 48He replied to him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers? 49 And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, Here are My mother and My brothers! 50 For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother."
Matthew 13:54 At his hometown, they asked. 55"Isn't this the carpenter's son? Isn't his mother's name Mary, and aren't his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas? 56Aren't all his sisters with us?"
John 2:12 He went down to Capernaum, He and His mother, and His "brothers", and His "disciples";
John 7:3 Jesus' "brothers" said to him, "You ought to leave here and go to Judea, so that your "disciples" may see the miracles you do. ...5For even his own "brothers" did not believe in him. ...10 after "his brothers" had left for the Feast, he went also,
Acts 1:14 ...Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.
Galatians 1:19 I did not see any other of the apostles except James, the Lord's brother.
1 Corinthians 9:5 ...the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?
Matthew (13:55) & Mark (6:3) lists, as brethren of Jesus, James, Joses, Simon and Jude.
(Ref Gal 1:19
These verses differentiate between brothers and disciples separately. Some say that there was no greek work for Cousin. But that word is used in Colossians 4:10.

Question #C3) If there is only one God, why do we need to take the name of Jesus? Why cant we just pray to that one God? And if we do need an intercessor, why not Mary be the one? (Joji)

Jesus must be part of the God you believe in else how do we know which god is being refered to. If anyone says I beleive in one god where Jesus is not a part of then that God may not be Yehweh or Jehovah. Even Satan says there is only one god and then point to himself. Thus i believe that Jesus needs to be a part of God so that we know which god we are refering to. We came to know God only to Christ Jesus, so by taking his name we are refering to the true and living God of which he is a part.
Mary is not refered to as a medium or intercessor anywhere in the Bible. She was virgin till Jesus was born after that her duty was over and she has passed away and can neither appear not interceed, as the Bible never said so. Here are few references where Jesus is the only way to God. Refer C5 below also.
John 14:6 Jesus said "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father.
John 14:14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
John 14:26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit-fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.
John 16:23 In that day you will no longer ask me anything. My Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.
John 16:24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.
John 16:26 In that day you will ask in my name. Not that I ask the Father on your behalf, the Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God
John 10:9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me. will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture.
Mark 9:37 Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.
Matthew 18:20 For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.
Mark 9:39 No one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me,
Mark 9:41 I tell you the truth, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to Christ will certainly not lose his reward.
Mark 16:17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;

(Ref Act 4:12; 10:42; 17:31)

Question #C4) Isnt Mary the first who initiated Jesus to perform a miracle to change water to wine, as per John 2:1-12 specifically verse 11? (Joji)

Yes this was the first miracle performed by Jesus. However Mary didnt ask him to convert water to wine, neither did she show any sign of knowing that he could do so. All the mothers at that wedding would have casually told their sons that there was not much wine; and so did Mary. It has nothing to do with Mary since Jesus replied that Marys concern had "NOTHING" to do with Jesus. That too she tells the disciples to do what he says, not what she says.

John 2:1 The mother of Jesus was at a wedding. 2 Both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. 3 And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, "They have no wine." 4 Jesus said to her, "Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come."

Question #C5) We Catholics believe in Mary & Saints, why do Christian not do so? Miracles are still taking place in their names. (Joji)

As per the Bible Mary didnt do any miracles when she was alive, how could she do it after death. Nowhere in the Bible does it say she or the prophets/saints came in the past or will come in the future and do miracles or intercede for us to God. God blessed Mary and the saints and they died later and that is the end of them. Whatever appears in their name is not them. It is something else that takes their apperance to divert us from focusing on Jesus. And catholics have fell to them and focus more or Mary. Refer C3 above also. I'd like to stress 3 points:-

1) DO NOT WORSHIP SAINTS, THEY THEMSELVES DENY IT
Act 14:11 When the crowd saw Pauls miracles, they shouted , "The gods have come down to us in human form!" 12Barnabas they called Zeus, and Paul they called Hermes. 13The priest of Zeus, whose temple was just outside the city, brought bulls and wreaths to the city gates because he and the crowd wanted to offer sacrifices to them. 14But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of this, they tore their clothes and rushed out into the crowd, shouting: 15"Men, why are you doing this? We too are only men, human like you. We are bringing you good news, telling you to turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made heaven and earth and sea and everything in them.

2) DO NOT CALL UP THE DEAD (PROPHETS OR SAINTS OR MARY)
Deutoronomy 18:9 you shall not learn to follow the abominations 10 There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, 11 or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one "WHO CALLSUP THE DEAD". 12 all who do these things are an abomination to the LORD

3) NOT ALL MIRACLES ARE FROM GOD
Mathew 7:21 Jesus said "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22They will say 'Lord, we prophesy, performed miracles and drive out demons in your name' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
Acts 16:16 Talks about a lady who did miracles with "possession" of a spirit of divination and did miracles.

Question #C6) The protestans think only they will goto heaven and so do the catholics, so who will goto heaven?.(Cecil)

The Bible doesnt talk about catholics or protestants. Christianity is not a religion, neither is it about protesting-pride nor the unbiblicalness of Catholic practices. Christianity is about a person relationship with Christ. Its either you have a relation with him or not.
James 4:17 He who knows good, but does it not, that is sin
Protestants read the Bible and know what is right, but they do it not, that is worse than not knowing.
Mat 21:28 Jesus talks of a parable of 2 sons. One says he will do a thing and he does not. The other says he will not, but later does it. Similarly many people dont know the truth, but later learn and follow it. But some know but do not do and that again is worse than not knowing.
Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
WISE - 24. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
FOOLISH - 26. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
Here Jesus clearly says that even if some do (or they think so) miracles in His name driving out demons but disobey him or fall later, they have no entry to Heaven. So knowing His will and following it is what matters, it doesnt matter what denominations say of they do not follow the Full Gospel.
